Financial Assistance

Financial Assistance

Help with the software, hardware, and other job-required costs that W-2 support brokers can’t write off, so you can do your best work without paying for it out of pocket.

Why brokers need this

In Idaho’s self-directed program, a support broker is a W-2 employee of each family they serve. A broker working with several families has several employers, and none of them provides a laptop, software, a printer, or a phone.

Because brokers are W-2 employees rather than a business, they generally can’t write these job-required costs off the way a self-employed professional could. They pay out of pocket. Our assistance helps close that gap.
